Cllr Nick Davies has met with school staff, residents and PCSOs about the problems caused by traffic congestion in the streets surrounding Brynmill and Brynymor Schools, in Brynmill, and Oakleigh House School on Penlan Crescent and dropping off and picking up times. Various solutions have been suggested. None of them by themselves can solve the problem but a combination of them might improve the situation. They are: stricter enforcement of breaches of traffic and parking regulations, staggering the drop off and pick up times by year group (which might not work when a parent has more than one child in the school), increased use of ‘walking buses’ or drop off zones whereby a child can be dropped off away from the school in the knowledge that they will be safely escorted into school by a member of staff.  What do you think?
